A little extra help
Use the cooking output power, not the electrical input power. Check the label on the door, the appliance’s manual, or the manufacturer’s specifications. In Settings, choose a wattage button or enter a whole number between 100 and 3000 W.
The last two digits are seconds. Type 130 for 1 minute 30 seconds, 200 for 2 minutes, or 45 for 45 seconds. Use C to clear the time or backspace to remove the last digit.
Open Settings and choose Round up or Round down. For example, a calculated time of 45.6 seconds becomes 46 seconds when rounding up, or 45 seconds when rounding down. Tap Save settings to apply your choice.
Yes. In Settings, choose Light, Dark, or Follow system, then save. Follow system is the default and follows your iPhone’s appearance. The Home Screen icon’s appearance is controlled separately by iOS.
No account is needed, and cooking-time calculations work offline. Your microwave wattage, rounding choice, and theme preference are saved on your device. See the privacy policy for more detail.
No. CookWatt estimates a cooking time using the ratio between the pack’s wattage and your microwave’s wattage. Food, appliances, containers, and cooking programmes vary. Follow all other cooking instructions, including stirring and standing times, and check that food is piping hot throughout.
